Oklahoma brings higher education to its adult citizens:
Oklahoma was part of the Louisiana Purchase in 1803. Starting out as Indian Territory, it ushered in the Old West and was developed by settlers staking claims to the land. It became the 46th state in 1907 following the discovery of oil. The onset of the Dust Bowl in 1935 was a blow but Oklahoma has since flourished. The driving industries of Oklahoma are oil and gas, food processing, agriculture, aerospace and health care.
